Installation

Follow these instructions to install version 7 of Poles ‘n’ Wires.

1. Get the setup package https://lineprofiling.com/downloads/pnwv7setup.exe
2. Install the package. You will need admin rights to install it.
3. Install the update (if any) from https://lineprofiling.com/latest

For licencing or other reasons the following software tools cannot be bundled with the Poles ‘n’ Wires setup package. These tools are not required but provide additional functionality in the program.

Ghostscript. Used to render a thumbnail of a referenced PDF in some modules. Download and install https://github.com/ArtifexSoftware/ghostpdl-downloads/releases/download/gs926/gs926aw32.exe (This specific version is needed for compatibility.)

DWG converter. To export the profile to a DWG file for use in other software you need this converter provided by opendesign.com. Install the appropriate version for your computer from https://www.opendesign.com/guestfiles/oda_file_converter. If you don’t use this converter the export will be in DXF format.

Updates

Updates to the software are available if you have a current support/upgrades subscription. You can get the latest patch file from https://lineprofiling.com/latest.
